Lost in the Woods, Part 3
Kathy’s Journal Entry, October 28th
Wednesday
we made it! the campsite is amazing, so worth the trek to get here!! we’re set up on a little outcropping overlooking a river so clear we can drink out of it. totally secluded, we haven’t seen anyone since we got on the trail this morning. so cool!
it was rough going for me this morning, as expected, and Mia too, we shut the bar down last night. so much fun, but painful waking up at 5am. the weather was good, dry and cool, but the hike was hard, even without being colossally hungover.
we hung out with Avery and her bar dude last night until they left around midnight, then ended up dancing until 3am. why do I do this? i’m so psyched for Avery though, dude was hot. hopefully, this means no more talk about loser-dan for the rest of the trip. so relieved she’s done with him. she just needs to stay away.
i’m so glad we did this. it’s going to be an amazing few days!
